This experiment shows a complex interaction between magnetic fields. Steel dust is sprinkled on the right side of the cube while Aluminum dust is sprinkled on the left side. A magnet is placed on the left side forcing the fields to interact with the aluminum cloud and the steel dust cloud. The aluminum cloud acts as a nebulous Faraday Cage as it blocks and/or distorts the field lines near it and poses a partial barrier to the transport of the steel dust.  The steel dust initially follows a complex path based on the viscous and gravitational influences combined with the initial complexity of the magnetic field before the effects of the aluminum cloud have been minimized.
